If you have been thinking of relocating to the south, then now is the time.  Over the last four years, the Charleston SC real estate market experienced annual appreciation between 10-14% and almost anything that was put on the market would sell within days of listing.

Now, for the past 18 months, our market has slowed dramatically.  The slow-down makes the news nightly as sellers are seeing their homes sit on the market for 8-12 months with no real end in sight.  The inventory of homes in Charleston has more than tripled from just over 3,000 homes to over 10,000 current active listings.

So why would I encourage you to purchase in a market that is flooded with inventory? Because if you have ever heard the saying, "buy low, sell high" then you understand exactly why I am encouraging you to purchase. 

Today's sellers are getting more and more motivated to sell their homes.  Many cannot afford two payments and have been transferred with jobs.  You should be able to get a wonderful home here for a price you couldn't have dreamed of only two years ago.

What will it take to get a great price?  You need someone to first find homes that suit your needs, then show you those homes.  You also need someone who is not afraid to put in offers to sellers that encourage the lowest prices possible.  I am that agent. 

While some of my colleagues are afraid of offending sellers with "low-ball" offers, I am not.  I represent you, the buyer, and want you to get the lowest price on a home that you will enjoy.
