Immobiliers de Charleston
I have a friend who loves to travel to Paris.
She’s an artist, and France draws artists from all over the
world who enjoy their own type of pilgrimage. It’s
certainly easy to see why. The French countryside is
legendary for its beauty, and Paris could be called the art
capital of the world.
This particular friend I would certainly list as a Renaissance
person who is both well-traveled and knows a little about so many
things. She loves immobiliers de Charleston,
and especially loves the Immobiliers de Charleston located in the
historic area. She says there are tucked away areas of the
historic district that reminds her of a few alleyways she’s
experience in Paris. As an artist, she can see beauty
everywhere she turns in Charleston, and is often inspired some of
the architectural features we probably don’t even notice.
I suppose that’s what I like about Immobiliers de
Charleston. My first visit to the city was about 25 years
ago, and it came after I had lived in several different areas of
the country and experienced some very “European”
cities. In particular, New Orleans is famous for
capturing the Old World charm of Western Europe. My
year spent in New Orleans opened my eyes to a different type of
“colonial” architecture, such as in French and Spanish
colonialism. The first time I encountered downtown
Charleston, the Immobiliers de Charleston reminded me so much of
New Orleans. The cobblestone streets, narrow alleyways,
diverse architecture and bustling downtown areas had the same
feel. Even the rivers being so close to the residential area
harkened to the Mississippi on the banks of the French Quarter.
Immobiliers de Charleston does have some very European features,
and most likely comes from an intense desire to retain and restore
the original look and feel of the historic areas. The French
also work hard to preserve their culture, and Paris is filled with
examples of well-maintained buildings of all types. Although
there are other examples of preservation all around the city, the
downtown area of Charleston provides the most European Immobiliers
de Charleston.
I guess it’s no surprise that Charleston has an active arts
community, with a number of working artist who live in the historic
area as well as outside the city. The Charleston gallery
scene is vibrant, and there are a number of Gallery Walks in the
fall. I’m not sure if the arts scene happened because of the
European feel of the city. It’s hard to say which came
first!
It’s no surprise that my friend also loves Charleston, and
considers it a very European type of city. She lives
downtown, just off one of those narrow alleyways, and probably
dreams of Paris every time she turns down the street to her
house.
As you stroll Charleston, wander through areas that time seems
to have forgotten. It may not be Paris, but you may be
inspired just the same.
