Moving to a strange city is difficult.  Moving to a strange city in a strange country is even harder!  As a German national relocating to Charleston, we can certainly understand how challenging the decisions you make can be.  (Trying to get information from persons who speak a very strange sort of English can make the task challenging.) As you begin to make your decisions, we have a few suggestions that will help.  These tips will provide you with a set of questions, and get you moving in the right direction.

Charleston SC Immobilien includes a number of different options, and our advice is to first consider which area of town fits your lifestyle.  Here are a few things to consider and the choices you have to make.

  • Are you a golfer?  Then, the Charleston, SC, Immobilien best suited for you may be one of the resort communities of Kiawah, Seabrook or Wild Dunes.  Also, there are a number of new golfing communities that have developed in the high-growth areas of Summerville and Goose Creek.
  • Do you want to be away from it all?  Your choice in Charleston, SC, Immobilien will be one of the rural areas that are still close to downtown.  Johns Island is still the best choice in this area.  Ask about one of the new housing developments planned for this area.
  • Do you prefer to walk to all your everyday conveniences?  Take a look at the Charleston SC Immobilien located on Daniel Island, which is a master-planned community located just minutes from downtown.  Daniel Island is pretty much self-contained, and almost everything one needs is located within walking distance.  There are bike trails that lead to each area of the island, and the housing choices include everything from ornate homes, to simple city homes, to spacious townhomes and condos.
  • Need to have a view of the water?   You certainly have moved to the right place!  There are all sorts of Charleston, SC, Immobilien that feature water views because there is so much water.  Just pick an area where you’d like to live and you are sure to find water nearby.
  • Do you enjoy old world architecture?  The downtown area would be your best bet.  The local residents call this area “The Peninsula,” which is an entirely descriptive term that explains the geographical features of the area.  Original buildings from 1670 still remain on the Peninsula, and you can trace the growth of the city by the age of the architecture.  There are some truly amazing choices!
  • Historically inspired villages?   Look no further than the renowned I’On development in the Mt. Pleasant area.  The Charleston, SC, Immobilien draws its inspiration from the historic areas in Charleston, but features homes all built within the past ten years.  The result is a new development that resembles a European village.

These are just a few choices.  Charleston certainly has something for everyone.  As you get used to the area, you’ll find that the English spoken here is accented by something else . . . some of the nicest people in the country.
